Truck strikes, kills adolescent girl near Davis Boulevard in Southlake

SOUTHLAKE, TX – Police have shared additional details regarding a collision that killed one person in Southlake last Thursday morning.

According to Fox 4 News, the incident happened near the intersection of Davis Boulevard and West Southlake Boulevard, which is west of the Stampede Sports Arena.

Authorities previously reported that the victim was a pedestrian. They now say that she was riding a bicycle on the sidewalk along Davis Boulevard when a pickup truck turned into a private drive and struck her.

The victim was a 12-year-old girl. She died after transport to an area hospital.

Police also shared that the driver of the pickup stayed at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.
