Solo rollover with ejection kills 1, hurts 1 on I-635 in Irving
IRVING, TX – A driver died, and a passenger sustained serious injuries in a single-vehicle collision along the interstate in Irving on Saturday.
According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened around 12:40 a.m. at eastbound I-635 near the President George Bush Turnpike, which is just southwest of Sam Houston Trail Park.
The investigation thus far indicates that an eastbound vehicle rolled several times after entering the center median. The force of the crash threw the driver from the vehicle, and he died at the scene.
Medics transported a passenger from the vehicle to the hospital with major injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims to the public.
A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident.
