2-vehicle crash on I-20 EB near S Cooper in Arlington kills 1
ARLINGTON, TX – The driver of an SUV died Wednesday morning after colliding with another vehicle along the interstate in south Arlington, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 5:30 a.m. in the area of 2100 West I-20 eastbound, which is just southwest of The Parks Mall at Arlington and near the exit for South Cooper Street.
Police say that an eastbound SUV struck another car while attempting to pass it on I-20. The collision caused the SUV to leave the roadway and crash into a guardrail and a light pole.
Officials pronounced the driver of the SUV deceased at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released their identity to the public.
No other injuries have been referenced in connection with the crash.
Speed may have been a factor. A full investigation is underway.
