One killed in two-vehicle DWI hit-and-run on TX-360 near Mayfield Rd

ARLINGTON, TX – The 33-year-old driver of a stalled vehicle died Sunday morning when a pickup truck struck his car before fleeing the scene.

According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened around 5:15 a.m. in the area of 3600 TX-360, which is just south of Mayfield Road and southeast of Lynn Hale Elementary School.

The investigation indicates that a hit-and run driver crashed into a disabled vehicle along the highway. The force of the collision threw the driver of the stalled car from his vehicle, and he died at the scene.

Police apprehended the driver of the pickup truck shortly after the accident and charged him with failure to stop and render aid and intoxication manslaughter.

The investigation is ongoing.
