Jose Osorio and Avelina Lopez Killed, Four Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Hero Way at 183A Toll Road Frontage Road in Leander
Leander, TX. (August 31, 2023)- Jose Luis Rebollar Osorio and Avelina Osorio Lopez were killed, and four others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on August 26, 2023, in Leander, Texas. The accident occurred around 11:30 a.m. at the Hero Way and 183A Toll Road Frontage Road intersection. Police reported that a 2010 Toyota Rav4 and a Chevrolet Suburban were involved in a collision. Jose and Avelina were pronounced dead at the scene. Four more Toyota passengers were transported to area hospitals with unknown injuries. The driver of the Suburban fled the scene on foot. A passenger in the Suburban was taken to the hospital for treatment. No further details have been provided at the time. The crash remains under investigation.
