Car vs. truck crash on Toll 49 at Hwy 31 in Tyler kills 1, hurts 1

TYLER, TX – The driver of a passenger car died on Tuesday morning in Tyler after colliding with a cargo truck along the tollway, reports KETK. 

The incident happened sometime before 11 a.m. on Toll 49 at Highway 31, which is northwest of Lost Pine Lake and east of Glory Days RV Park.

Police have not shared any details about how the accident happened, nor have they identified the victim, who they say died at the scene.

Medics transported the driver of the cargo truck to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
