5-vehicle crash involving two semi-trucks on I-35 NB near Berry St kills 3

FORT WORTH, TX – Three people were hurt, and three others died Monday after an accident along the interstate in Fort Worth involving two semis and three cars, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on the northbound side of I-35 near East Berry Street, which is just north of Echo Lake and south of El Rio Grande Latin Market.

The investigation indicates that a truck stopped along the interstate to render aid after an earlier, minor accident on I-35. An 18-wheeler then collided with vehicles at the scene of the earlier crash. It’s unclear what happened after that, but police say at least some of the victims were struck by the semi-truck.

Medics transported three people to the hospital, and three others died. Authorities have not yet identified the victims publicly.

A full investigation is underway.
