Pedestrian struck, killed on I-30 EB near exit for Brentwood Stair Rd

FORT WORTH, TX – A man died early Thursday morning along the interstate just east of Gateway Park in Fort Worth after multiple vehicles struck him in the roadway.

According to WFAA 8, the incident happened just before 6:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-30 near the exit for Brentwood Stair Road, which is northwest of Oakland Lake Park and east of the junction with I-35 W.

It’s not clear at this time if the man was walking in the roadway or along the shoulder when he was first hit. Police say that one of the vehicles that struck the man stopped to report the accident and to render aid.

Authorities have not yet identified the victim. They say that only one driver stopped to report the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
