Air ambulance called to Azle crash on Portwood near Liberty School

AZLE, TX – Officials dispatched an air ambulance to the scene of a collision Wednesday morning at an intersection in northwest Tarrant County, reports DFW Scanner.

The accident occurred sometime before 8:24 a.m. on Portwood Road near Liberty School Road, which is just east of Open County RV Park.

Authorities haven’t yet commented on the cause of the crash, nor have they disclosed how many vehicles were involved. At least one serious injury is likely.

Police encouraged motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes as crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
