Pickup vs. motorcycle crash on I-20 at FM 1189 near Weatherford kills 1

WEATHERFORD, TX – A 71-year-old died on Sunday afternoon when a pickup truck struck his motorcycle along the service road to the interstate in Weatherford.

According to DFW Scanner, the collision occurred just before 3:30 p.m. on the northbound service road of I-20 at FM 1189, which is just north of the Eagles Nest Travel Plaza.

The investigation indicates that a westbound pickup truck neglected to yield the right of way while making a left turn onto FM 1189. The pickup struck the eastbound motorcyclist, who died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.

Officials have not reported any other significant injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
