28-year-old killed in pedestrian crash at Hwy 287 and Blue Mound Road

FORT WORTH, TX – A 28-year-old man died on Saturday night in Fort Worth after a vehicle struck him along the highway in north-central Fort Worth.

According to WFAA News 8, the incident happened around 8:45 p.m. on the southbound side of Highway 287 near Blue Mound Road, which is just north of V.R. Eaton High School.

The investigation thus far indicates that the man was walking across the highway and away from his parked vehicle when the crash occurred. He and his wife had stopped on the shoulder during an argument.

The pedestrian died at the scene. Authorities identified him as Jordon Jacob Beggs.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Beggs remained at the scene to render aid and speak with police.

A full investigation is underway.
