Solo crash on New York Ave near E Arlington Ave kills passenger

FORT WORTH, TX – A 28-year-old woman died on Sunday night after a solo crash in the Morningside area of Fort Worth, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened near the intersection of New York Avenue and East Arlington Avenue, which is east of I-35W and southeast of John Peter Smith Hospital.

The investigation indicates that for unknown reasons, a vehicle left the roadway and collided with a tree.

Medics attempted CPR at the scene on the female passenger, but she died on the way to the hospital. Authorities have not yet released her identity.

The male driver did not require hospitalization.

The investigation is ongoing.
