Fatality reported in major crash at TX-121 near Freeport Pkwy in Coppell
COPPELL, TX – Emergency crews responded to a fatality crash with entrapment along the highway in Coppell late Saturday afternoon, reports DFW Scanner.
Accident w/ Entrapment (Coppell) Quint 124, Battalion 121, Engine 123, Medic 123, and Coppell police are working a major accident along Northbound 121 near Freeport Parkway. Dispatched as a vehicle into a pole with possible person trapped. Expect heavy delays in this area.

Update – Grapevine Fire/EMS and Police also responded to this crash as it is near the city border. Grapevine PD advising this is a fatality accident.

The incident happened before noon on the northbound side of TX-121 near Freeport Parkway, which is north of Coppell Nature Park and west of Coppell High School.
The initial investigation indicates that at least one person died when a vehicle crashed into a pole along the highway.
It’s not yet clear if any other vehicles were involved in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
