Head-on collision along TX-144 near Glen Rose kills Sheriff Investigator
SOMERVELL CO., TX – A Somerville County Sheriff Investigator died on Wednesday after a two-vehicle collision along a highway just south of Glen Rose, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened around 6:45 a.m. on TX-144, approximately four miles south of downtown.
The investigation indicates that the driver of a southbound white F150 pickup truck lost control of their vehicle, veered into the northbound lane of traffic, and collided head-on with the Sheriff Investigator’s truck.
The Sheriff Investigator, identified as Stephen Gibson, died from injuries sustained in the crash.
It is unclear if the driver of the F150 was hurt in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
