Driver attempts U-turn on TX-34 in Ennis, causing fatal 2-vehicle crash
ENNIS, TX – A 21-year-old man died. and another driver went to the hospital after a two-car crash along a highway in southeast Ellis County on Friday.
According to DFW Scanner, the accident happened around 7:02 a.m. on TX-34 near the bridge over Lake Bardwell in Ennis. This is just northeast of Bardwell.
The investigation thus far indicates that a pickup truck struck an eastbound sedan when the driver of the latter vehicle attempted to make a U-turn on the highway.
The crash killed the driver of the sedan. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public, but they say he was from Ennis.
Medics transported the other driver to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
