Semi wreck on I-35E NB between Valley View and I-635 delays traffic

FARMERS BRANCH, TX – Crews responded to a major accident involving an 18-wheeler along the interstate in Farmers Branch on Thursday morning, reports the Farmers Branch PD.

TRAFFIC ALERT: Major accident on Northbound I-35 between I-635 and Valley View.
Please expect traffic delays while FBPD and FBFD are on scene working to clean up and clear the incident.

The accident occurred around 7:40 a.m. on the northbound side of I-35 between I-635 and Valley View Lane, which is west of both Gussie Field Watterworth Park and Farmers Branch Historical Park.

It’s not yet clear how many vehicles were involved or if anyone was hurt.

Photos taken at the scene indicate that the wreck involved a semi with an overturned trailer.

Officials encouraged drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while crews worked at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
