Overturned semi at TX-183 and O’Connor in Irving blocks traffic

IRVING, TX – Crews responded Thursday night to a major accident involving an overturned 18-wheeler along the highway in the Hospital District of Irving, reports Irving Police Department.

The incident happened sometime before 10:13 p.m. at the intersection of TX-183 and O’Connor Road, which is just east of Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Irving.

No injuries have been reported thus far, but police say the accident blocked the express lanes on both sides of the highway and all eastbound lanes. Only two lanes remained open on the westbound side of TX-183 while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.

The cause of the accident remains under review with law enforcement.

A full investigation is ongoing. Our team of bloggers will post updates if we learn more about the circumstances of the wreck.
