Multi-vehicle crash involving school bus in SE Collin Co. kills 1, injures 2

COLLIN CO., TX – A multi-vehicle crash along the Lavon Lake Bridge killed one person and injured two others Wednesday in southeast Collin County, reports NBC DFW 5. 

Police responded to a crash involving at least three vehicles, one of them a Princeton ISD school bus, around 3:45 p.m. on East Lucas Road between Lucas and Branch.

Authorities have shared very few details about the accident thus far. Photos taken at the scene indicate that a Jeep, a sedan, a commercial van, and a school bus were likely involved.

The school bus was carrying nine high school students along with the bus driver at the time of the crash. No injuries have been reported among the bus occupants.

One person from one of the other three vehicles died from injuries sustained in the accident, and two people went to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim.
