Semi loses load after crash on US-67 at US-287 in Midlothian

MIDLOTHIAN, TX – Crews worked to clear a crash involving an 18-wheeler along the highway in northwest Ellis County on Friday afternoon, reports DFW Scanner.

The accident occurred sometime before 1:25 p.m. near the intersection of US-287 and US-67, which is in central Midlothian, just northwest of Midlothian High School.

Authorities have not yet clarified if other vehicles were involved and if anyone sustained injuries. Photos taken at the scene indicate that the crash caused the truck to spill a large amount of debris in and around the roadway.

Motorists likely faced delays while teams investigated and worked to clear the semi’s cargo from the highway.

A full investigation is underway. Our team of writers will post updates if we learn more about injuries or the circumstances of the accident.
