Wrong-way crash involving semi on I-35W near Wilshire Blvd kills 1

BURLESON, TX – A 33-year-old Arlington man died Sunday in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck along the the interstate in Burleson, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened around 3:09 a.m. along I-35W near the intersection with Wilshire Boulevard, which is near Sam’s Club in the central part of the city.

Police say that a southbound pickup truck entered the northbound lanes of traffic and collided head-on with a northbound 18-wheeler, killing the driver of the pickup truck at the scene of the accident.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim to the public.

It’s unclear if the truck driver sustained injuries in the crash.

Officials closed the northbound side of I-35W for several hours following the accident while police and clean-up crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
