Woman struck, killed in NE Dallas pedestrian crash on N Buckner Blvd

DALLAS, TX – A woman died Friday night after two vehicles struck her while she crossed a busy intersection in northeast Dallas, reports NBC DFW 5.

The incident happened just before 7:30 p.m. in the area of North Buckner Boulevard and John West Road, which is just east of El Rio Grande Latin Market and south of George W. Truett Elementary.

Police say the woman had walked almost halfway across Buckner Boulevard when two SUVs hit her, killing the pedestrian at the scene. Authorities have not yet identified the victim.

Both drivers remained at the scene to render aid and speak with police.

Authorities say the woman was not walking in a designated crosswalk when she was struck.

A full investigation is underway.
