5 hospitalized in 2-vehicle crash on Chisholm Trail in SW Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, TX – Five people went to the hospital Tuesday morning after a fiery crash along Chisholm Trail Parkway in southwestern Fort Worth, reports Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The incident happened around 7:20 a.m. on the northbound side of Chisholm Trail between McPherson Blvd and FM 1187. This is near the Fort Worth campus of Tarleton State University.

The cause of the accident is unclear, but police say two vehicles were involved and that one caught fire. Additionally, one of the vehicles overturned.

Medics report that the five injured patients sustained non-critical injuries and that two other people received treatment on site but did not require hospitalization.

Officials closed all northbound lanes of Chisholm trail in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene and investigate.

The investigation is ongoing.
