Family member strikes, kills pedestrian on CR 615 in Farmersville

FARMERSVILLE, TX – A man died Thursday morning after a vehicle struck him along a county road in east-central Collin County, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident happened just before 10 a.m. on County Road 615, which is on the north side of Farmersville.

Police say that a man called 911 after hitting his father with a vehicle along the roadway. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials have not yet released his identity to the public.

Authorities say the driver is in custody as police proceed to investigate what caused him to hit his father.
