Multi-vehicle crash on I-30 at Lamar kills 1, injures others
DALLAS, TX – A 36-year-old man died, and at least one other person was hospitalized Saturday after a multi-vehicle crash on I-30 near downtown Dallas.
According to Irving Weekly, the incident happened on the westbound side of the interstate near Lamar Street, which is just south of the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center.
Police say that the driver struck an attenuator at the exit for Lamar while attempting to merge back onto I-30. Two other vehicles then crashed as a result of this initial accident.
The driver of the first vehicle died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.

It’s not yet clear if anyone in the other two vehicles sustained injuries in the accident.
