SUV strikes firetruck in central Fort Worth, injuring firefighter
FORT WORTH, TX – A Fort Worth firefighter went to the hospital Monday after a two-vehicle collision along a major roadway in central Fort Worth, reports WFAA News 8.
The incident happened overnight on Pecan Street, which is just east of Sid Richardson Museum and Bass Concert Hall.
Police haven’t shared many details about the accident, but they say that the driver of an SUV may have run a red light before striking a firetruck and overturning.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt in the collision but did receive a citation for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.
The driver of the firetruck sustained a cut to the face, for which he was taken to the hospital.
The investigation is ongoing.
