2 injured in wrong-way crash on TX-183 near Valley View

IRVING, TX – Emergency crews responded to a wrong-way collision along the highway in western Dallas County on Thursday, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The incident occurred around 4:40 a.m. on TX-183 near the exit for Valley View Lane, which is near the Walmart Supercenter in Irving.

Police say an eastbound vehicle entered the westbound side of the highway and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle.

Medics transported one of the drivers to the hospital with critical injuries. The other driver sustained injuries of unspecified severity.

A full investigation is underway to determine why the wrong-way driver was driving on the wrong side of the road.
