Fatality reported in pedestrian crash on TX-360 at Ave J

ARLINGTON, TX – One person died Friday morning after a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian along the highway in Arlington, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident happened around 4 a.m. on the southbound side of TX-360 at Avenue J. This is just north of I-30 and northeast of Six Flags.

Authorities haven’t yet released the name of the victim, nor have they shared any details about the circumstances of the accident. It’s not yet clear if the driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene to render aid and to speak with police.

Officials closed the southbound lanes of TX-360 in the area of the crash for several hours while medics attended to the victim and crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes of the highway re-opened by around 8:30 a.m.

A full investigation is underway.
