Vehicle strikes, kills man on Great Trinity Forest Way in S Dallas

DALLAS, TX – A man died late Friday night after a vehicle struck him along a major roadway in southern Dallas, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident happened on the westbound side of Great Trinity Forest Way just past Bonnie View Road, which is just southeast of Cummings Park.

Police say the pedestrian was crossing Great Trinity outside of a designated crosswalk just before midnight when the car hit him. The man died at the scene from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene to render aid and speak with police.

Motorists likely experienced delays in the area while crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
