Serious injuries reported at crash on I-35W NB near E Long Ave

FORT WORTH, TX – Emergency teams responded to a serious accident with entrapment along the interstate in Fort Worth Tuesday night, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident occurred sometime before 9:48 p.m. along the northbound service road for I-35W near East Long Avenue, which is just east of Fort Worth Meacham International Airport.

While police haven’t revealed the cause of the accident, they say that at least one person became entrapped and required extrication.

Medics transported two people to the hospital, one with critical injuries and another with serious injuries.

Officials encouraged motorists to avoid the area while medical staff attended to the victims and crews worked to clear the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
