1 killed, 1 injured in single-vehicle crash at S Cesar Chavez and Marilla

DALLAS, TX – A single-vehicle accident just east of downtown Dallas killed one person and injured another Wednesday night, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident happened around 11:50 p.m. near the intersection of South Cesar Chavez Boulevard and Marilla Street, which is near the Dallas Farmer’s Market.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a vehicle carrying at least two people lost control and hit a wall.

A passenger in the vehicle sustained fatal injuries and died after transport to a local hospital. Authorities have not yet identified the victim publicly.

Medics transported the driver to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
