2 hurt when pickup hits Fort Worth church in attempted car jacking

FORT WORTH, TX – Two people went to the hospital early Friday after a pickup truck crashed into a building in the Rosedale area, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Sunshine Church of God in Christ, which is located at 4400 East Rosedale Street.

Police say that a woman attempted to car-jack a pickup truck, at which point the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the front of the church.

Medics transported both the woman and the driver of the vehicle to a local hospital with non-critical injuries.

Authorities say the pickup truck sustained substantial damage, as did the front entrance to the church.

A full investigation is underway.
