Vehicle strikes, kills female pedestrian at NW 28th St and Prospect Ave

FORT WORTH, TX – A woman died Saturday morning after an alleged DUI driver struck her at a busy Fort Worth intersection, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The incident happened just before 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Northwest 28th Street and Prospect Avenue, which is near the Fort Worth Stockyards.

Police say the 23-year-old driver was likely intoxicated when the accident occurred. The pedestrian died at the scene; authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.

Officials arrested the driver, identified as Alexia Lopez, on charges of intoxication manslaughter.
