Motorcycle vs. semi-truck crash on TX-155 near Toll 49 kills 1
TYLER, TX – Tyler Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and an 18-wheeler that happened Tuesday morning.
According to CBS 19, crews reported to the northbound side of TX-155 near Toll 49 sometime before 8 a.m. This is near the Tyler Area Engineer and Maintenance Facility.
The investigation is preliminary, so officials haven’t yet clarified what caused the semi and the motorcycle to collide. They say that one person died, but they’ve not released the victim’s name to the public.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
Officials noted delays along the highway Tuesday morning while medical crews attended to the victim and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
