3-vehicle crash involving semi in Bells kills woman, injures young child

BELLS, TX – A woman died, and a young child went to the hospital Wednesday following a three-vehicle crash in northeast Grayson County, reports Tyler Morning Telegraph.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. at the intersection of US-69 and Denison Street in the city of Bells. This is about 73 miles northeast of Dallas.

Police say that a pickup truck struck the rear of Angela Woodson’s vehicle as she was waiting to turn left at the intersection. This initial crash caused Woodson’s car to travel into traffic where an 18-wheeler also struck her vehicle.

Authorities declared Woodson deceased at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported her grandson, a passenger in the car, to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

It’s unclear if anyone will face charges in connection to the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
