Major accident on I-30 EB near I-45/US-75 in downtown Dallas blocks traffic

DALLAS, TX – Emergency teams responded to a major accident along the interstate in central Dallas just before rush hour Friday morning in Dallas, reports KRLD Traffic.

The incident occurred some time before 6:26 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-30 prior just prior to US-75 and I-45. This is just east of the Downtown Historic District.

Police haven’t yet specified the cause of the collision or the number of vehicles involved. Video footage indicates that at least two fire trucks and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

Officials say the accident blocked the eastbound side of I-30 in the area of the accident as well as the exit ramp to US-75/I-45 while crews worked to clear the scene.
