Vehicle vs. semi crash on Loop 288 near Sherman injures 1

DENTON, TX – One person sustained serious injuries late Tuesday morning in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi in northeast Denton, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened sometime before 11:01 p.m. on the southbound side of Loop 288 near East Sherman Drive, which is just south of CH Collins Athletic Complex.

It’s not yet clear what caused the 18-wheeler and the vehicle to collide, nor do we know if either vehicle sustained damage.

Medics transported one person to the hospital with critical injuries.

Officials closed the southbound lanes of Loop 288 while emergency teams attended to the victim, and crews worked to clear the scene.
