Elderly man struck, killed in parking lot of Lewisville McDonald’s

LEWISVILLE, TX – An 81-year-old man died Saturday morning after a vehicle struck him near the entrance of a Lewisville fast food restaurant, reports WFAA News 8.

The incident happened around 9:25 a.m. at the McDonald’s in the 700 block of West Main Street. This is just west of Edmonds Lane.

Police say the victim was leaving the restaurant when a red pickup truck backed into him. The driver of the truck was reversing out of a parking space when the collision occurred.

The elderly man died at the scene of the accident. Authorities identified him as George Edward Stepp.

Medics transported the driver of the pickup truck to a local hospital to determine whether he may have experienced a medical issue that led to the crash.

A full investigation is underway.
