Fatality reported in crash on FM 2264 and Pond View Dr

DECATUR, TX – At least one person died Tuesday afternoon in a major crash involving a motorcycle in east-central Wise County, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident occurred sometime before 12:46 p.m. at the intersection of FM 2264 and Pond View Drive, which is on the southeast side of Decatur.

It’s not yet clear if any other vehicles were involved in the crash, nor do we know what caused it.

Authorities have not yet released the name of the deceased, and there’s no word regarding additional injuries.

Officials asked drivers to avoid this area of town while crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
