Major crash involving DPS Trooper on US-380 west of Decatur slows traffic
DECATUR, TX – Emergency teams responded to a serious accident involving a police officer along the highway in central Wise County on Thursday afternoon, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened sometime before 4:35 p.m. on the westbound side of US-380 just west of the city of Decatur. This is about 40 miles northwest of Fort Worth.
Authorities haven’t yet shared any details regarding the crash except to say that it involved a DPS Trooper. It’s unclear if the officer or anyone else sustained injuries. Firefighters and EMS reported to the scene.
Officials warned motorists to avoid this area of US-380 while crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
