Injuries reported in crash on Broadway Ave near Erwin St in Tyler

TYLER, TX – One person sustained injuries Friday morning after a two-vehicle collision along a busy roadway in downtown Tyler, reports KLTV 7

The accident happened sometime before 11:20 a.m. on the northbound side of South Broadway Avenue approaching Erwin Street. This is just southeast of Tyler City Square and north of TX-31.

Police haven’t yet disclosed the cause of the collision. Photos taken at the scene indicate that a red SUV may have rear-ended a black SUV.

An ambulance transported one person to the hospital with undisclosed injuries.

Drivers experienced delays along South Broadway Avenue while crews assisted the victim and worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
