Big rig overturns during crash on I-345 ramp to Woodall Rogers Fwy in Dallas
DALLAS, TX – An 18-wheeler overturned as a result of a crash with another vehicle Wednesday afternoon, August 7, on Interstate 345 in Dallas, reports NBC DFW.
The wreck took place on the ramp connecting northbound I-345 to westbound Woodall Rogers Freeway (Exit 286A), just north of Downtown Dallas Historic District. Deputies with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the scene at around 12:24 p.m.
Preliminary details indicate the tractor-trailer was rammed into by another vehicle, which caused it to roll onto its side and block all travel lanes.
While no one was reported injured following the incident, crews had a section of the connector shut down for hours during the emergency response.
By about 5:00 p.m., more than four hours later, the scene had been cleared and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
Investigators have not confirmed any charges or citations as of this writing.
