Accident on TX-114 EB at Northwest Hwy in Irving delays traffic

IRVING, TX – A late rush-hour crash along the highway on the north side of Irving caused delays Thursday morning while crews responded to the scene, reports KRLD Traffic.

The accident happened sometime before 9:26 a.m. on the eastbound side of TX-114 at Northwest Highway, which is just northwest of the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas.

It’s not yet clear what caused the accident or how many vehicles were involved, nor do we know for sure if anyone sustained injuries.

Video footage depicts an ambulance, two police cruisers, and a firetruck at the scene of the crash along with an SUV and a white sedan.

The collision blocked the right two lanes of traffic while emergency teams worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway. We’ll report back if we learn more about the circumstances of the accident.
