Air ambulance called to solo crash at SE Pkwy and Normandy in Azle

AZLE, TX – One man went to the hospital after single-vehicle crash at a busy intersection on the south side of Azle on Saturday, reports DFW Scanner.

The accident happened sometime before 8:24 p.m. at the intersection of Southeast Parkway and Normandy Avenue, which is just west of Eagle Mountain Marina and south of Ash Creek Park.

Police haven’t yet shared any details about the accident except to say that the driver was travelling around 100 miles per hour when it happened.

Medics transported the victim via air ambulance to a trauma center in Fort Worth. The extent of the man’s injuries is unclear.

Drivers likely experienced delays in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
