Vehicle strikes, kills male cyclist on W Vickery Blvd near Marys Creek Dr

FORT WORTH, TX – A motorist struck and killed a 68-year-old male cyclist Saturday morning in southwest Fort Worth, reports WFAA News 8.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. on West Vickery Boulevard between Marys Creek and Marys Creek Drive. This is just northeast of Z Boaz Park.

It’s not yet clear what caused the vehicle to hit the bicyclist along West Vickery.

Medics transported the victim, identified as Charles Henson, to a Fort Worth hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the collision.

The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident did stop to render aid and speak with authorities.

Motorists likely encountered delays along West Vickery as crews worked to clear the scene.
