Female pedestrian hit, killed while crossing US-287 near NE 36th

FORT WORTH, TX – A woman died Monday morning when a vehicle struck her along the highway in north-central Fort Worth, reports WFAA News 8.

The accident happened on the North Freeway between Northeast 36th Street and Northeast 33rd Street, which is near the High Crest Addition.

Police say the pedestrian was attempting to cross the northbound side of US-287 when a pickup truck hit her. The woman died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the name of the victim.

The driver involved in the accident stopped to render aid and speak with police.
