Passenger hurt, driver runs when SUV hits home on Sherry St in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX – One person was hurt, and another person fled police early Sunday after a car crashed into a house, reports Fox 4 KDFW.

The accident happened just after 12:30 a.m. on Sherry Street, which runs north to south from East Abram Street to East Mayfield Road. Officials haven’t yet reported a cross street, but this is just west of TX-360 and southeast of Six Flags.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a northbound 2009 Nissan Armada lost control of the SUV, left the roadway, and hit a pole. The vehicle then crashed into the side of an unoccupied home.

The man driving the Nissan ran from the scene on foot.

Medics transported a 36-year-old male passenger to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
