Motorcyclist injured after rear-ending car on 19th near Kewanee

LUBBOCK, TX – A two-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle caused serious injuries last Saturday on the west side of Lubbock, reports Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

The accident happened at 12:07 p.m. on 19th Street near Kewanee Avenue. This is just southeast of Alex and Verna Cooke Park.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a 30-year-old motorcyclist rear-ended a car.

The motorcycle operator, whom police have identified as Wyoming Fowler, was not wearing a safety helmet at the time of the crash and sustained serious injuries.

No other injuries have been referenced in connection to the accident.

A full investigation is underway to determine the cause of the wreck.
