1 killed in DUI collision on TX-360 at Kingswood in Grand Prairie
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX – A driver died early Saturday in a two-vehicle collision caused by an alleged intoxicated driver in Grand Prairie, reports DFW Scanner.
The accident happened around 1:40 a.m. on the northbound side of TX-360 at Kingswood Boulevard. This is south of I-20 and northeast of Tarrant County College – Southeast Campus.
Police say that the 20-year-old driver of an SUV was likely intoxicated when he rear-ended a car on the highway. The latter vehicle was travelling at a low-rate of speed with the hazard lights turned on.
The collision resulted in fatal injuries for the driver of the disabled vehicle. Authorities have not yet released their identity to the public.
Officials arrested the driver of the SUV, identified as Hector Garcia, on a charge of intoxication manslaughter.
