2 killed, 1 injured in Lubbock pedestrian crash at I-27 and Regis

LUBBOCK, TX – Two adults died, and a third sustained injuries Saturday when they were struck by two vehicles along the interstate in Lubbock, reports Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.

The accident happened just after 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of I-27 and East Regis Street. This is just southwest of Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport.

Police say the three victims were walking along the interstate when the collisions occurred.

Authorities identified the deceased as 40-year-old Cruz Moreno and 38-year-old Bobby Moreno.

Medics transported the third victim, identified as 20-year-old Briana Arredondo, to an area hospital with non-critical injuries.

It’s unclear if the vehicles involved stopped to render aid and speak with police.

A full investigation is underway.
