Teen injured when neighbor’s pit bull attacks her in San Antonio
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A San Antonio teenager sustained injuries last week when a neighbor’s pit bull attacked her near her home, reports KSAT News 12.
The teen girl was leaving her house to walk to the bus stop when the dog chased her back to her front door and bit her.
The girl went with her mother to an urgent care clinic for medical attention, and antibiotics were prescribed for the bite. The owners of the dog were unsure about whether the dog had received all of his annual vaccinations.
Police and the City of San Antonio’s Animal Care Services say the dog is staying in quarantine for ten days. After that time, it’s possible the dog will return home to its owners.
The victim’s mother says that the owners of the dog have been contacted about prior incidents involving the canine.
A full investigation is underway. Our team of news writers will post updates if we learn more about the circumstances of the incident.
